Return Policy

At Cedar, we hope you love your purchase, but we understand that sometimes things may not work out. If you wish to return an item, please use the return function in your order for a quick and hassle free return experience.


Returning a Faulty Item

If you receive a faulty item, please inspect your delivery within 48 hours and notify us immediately at hello@cedarumbrella.co.uk.

Process for Faulty on Delivery or Within 30 Days:

  1. Take clear photos of the damaged area(s) and describe the issue in detail.
  2. Email the images and description to hello@cedarumbrella.co.uk.
  3. We will assess the fault to determine if it’s a manufacturing issue or caused by wear, tear, misuse, or wind damage.
  4. We will arrange return shipping at our cost or you may not need to return the item, depending on the situation.
  5. Return the item within 7 days of notification for a full refund or replacement upon receipt.

Faulty After 30 Days but Within 6 Months:

  • Contact us to discuss available options.
  • Proof of purchase may be required to validate warranty claims.

 



30-Day Cooling-Off Period

If your umbrella is unused and not faulty, you are eligible for a refund or exchange within 30 days of receiving the product. The conditions are as follows:

Refunds:

  • Notify us within 30 days of receipt of the item that you wish to return it.
  • The item must be returned within 30 days of your notification, unused, in saleable condition, with all labels intact and the original packaging box.
  • Include your order details with the return.
  • Refunds will cover the product cost only; any Express/Next Day delivery charges are non-refundable.
  • A return postage cost of £3.49 would be deducted from the refunded amount to cover for returning postage. 
  • Refunds will be processed within 30 days of receiving the returned item or proof of return.

Exchanges:

  • Request an exchange within 30 days of receipt of the item.
  • Return the item to us within 30 days of receiving return authorization, unused, in saleable condition, with all labels intact.
  • Include your order details and specify the product you’d like in exchange.
  • Any price difference will be charged or refunded using your original payment method.
  • You are responsible for return postage costs and shipping costs for the new item.

Important: Items remain your responsibility until they arrive at our premises. We recommend obtaining proof of postage.


Beyond the Cooling-Off Period

After 30 days and within 60 days of receipt, we offer exchanges for unwanted items, subject to the same conditions as above.

  • Returns for refunds after 30 days are discretionary and, if accepted, are subject to exchange only.
  • All postage costs for returns and exchanges are the responsibility of the customer.

Important Notes

  • Manufacturer defects are covered under warranty, but damage caused by misuse, wear and tear, or wind is not eligible for refund or replacement.
  • Our umbrellas are thoughtfully engineered to provide protection against rain and are designed with features that enhance resistance to wind. However, even with these wind-resistant qualities, extreme weather conditions such as strong gusts or storms can compromise the structural integrity of any umbrella. We recommend using caution during adverse weather to prevent potential damage. While we take pride in producing wind-resistant umbrellas, however damage caused by extreme wind or improper use is not covered under our warranty. Proper use will help ensure your umbrella’s longevity and performance.

Delivery Damage

Check your parcel for damage upon delivery. If the box is visibly damaged, sign for it as damaged and notify us immediately.
